UW College of the Environment
The UW College of the Environment is a standout college for all aspects of environmental science: forestry, fisheries, geology, oceanography and atmospheric sciences are all part of this college of higher learning.
Experimentation is a big part of the Ocean Sciences and they have a day called “Throw it off the dock day” where they get to build measuring equipment and test their designs in a real world use. The builds range from simple to highly complex.
Forestry does some interesting field trips around the pacific northwest. They collect samples of different flora from the varying climates accessible in our area.
