Out in the beautiful Methow Valley in central Washington State is a small family owned welding shop that makes beautiful things for architects the world over. Their newest venture is Hot Spot Fire Pits. A fire pit made for outdoor cooking and entertaining. Built to exacting standards these fire pits are art pieces in their own right. I was brought to this project by Lou Maxon who has had this company working on his amazing home for years. Following the key concept of made-by-hand-craftsmanship, we created images that give anyone who comes to their website the real feeling of care that goes into their products.
The Hot Spot team also got the commission for the hand railing at the popular Mount Washington Overlook on the North Cascades Highway. The railing itself is amazing as it stretches for hundreds of feet along a natural stone escarpment. The flowing and unbroken lines of the railing are beautiful to see and may even add to the views available from this lovely viewpoint.
